Lindwoie
Linkwood, together with other top-class distilleries such as Longmorn or Glenfarclas, has always belonged to the noblest and most delicate single malts of the Speyside region. However, Linkwood was mainly brought to market by independent bottlers such as Cadenhead's or Gordon & MacPhail, who also ensured the good reputation of this distillery.
Our bottling was matured for the first 13 years in a bourbon cask before it was matured for another 3 years in a first fill PX sherry cask. The nose shows lovely tropical fruit and vanilla notes and with a few drops of water, the classic sherry scents of bitter orange, old oak and spices emerge. The palate brings additional ethereal oils into play, but also bittersweet chocolate and light tannins. The finish is very aromatic with a slightly dry finish. A wonderfully complex whisky.
