The hidden gem from the Highlands!
This distillery in the Highlands is a hidden gem. Although it is very large, many whisky fans are unaware of its whisky. That's because it's in the woods off the A9, between Aviemore and Inverness. Most people simply drive past it without noticing it. The distillery releases numerous original bottlings that are of a high quality standard. This means that the whisky is already very good as a new make. Our 17-year-old malt is the first TWCC - Tomatin bottling. It is matured in bourbon casks and has developed a wonderful fruity, grassy and citrusy aroma, even limey, gently underlaid with roasted nuts and bourbon. The palate is sweet, wet straw with soft butter and honey flavors. It has a lovely sweetness and fresh, tart maltiness on the finish.
