Old fashioned at its best!
This Burnside is a malt whisky that has reached its peak in the cask and is developing its full aromas. It is the successor to Burnside, which was released in 2021 and also matured in a bourbon cask. On the nose, it exudes a seductive aroma of fresh fruit salad of apples and pears, underpinned by a fine oak spice. A wonderful sweetness rounds off the aroma and is underpinned by vanilla. These notes are reflected again on the palate and are complemented by gentle oak nuances. The finish is long, delicate, mouth-filling and complex. A real "old fashioned malt whisky"!
