The first Glen Garioch from TWCC!
The distillery in Old Meldrum is often overlooked because it is on the way from Aberdeen to Elgin. In the 80's it had wonderful sherry cask bottlings from 15 to 28 years that were almost black and were real "sherry bombs". Despite the wonderful aroma of these whiskies, the distillery was little known. However, its products were always in great demand among connoisseurs. In the 1990s, it belonged to the Japanese Suntory Group, a renowned corporation that also included Auchentoshan and Bowmore. For the first time, we are able to offer a Glen Garioch under TWCC. It is matured in a bourbon cask and has an aroma of floral, waxy notes and citrus, which is accompanied on the palate by fresh pear, vanilla and hints of soft smoke, sweet-salty and floral. The finish is spicy and delicate. A wonderful whisky that surprises with a strong finish.
